Driving Innovation Through Science-Industry Collaboration
Every year, Hi-Acts makes a significant contribution to applied research by supporting promising ideas that bridge science and industry. With an annual funding pool of over €500,000, Hi-Acts promotes Use Case Initiatives (UCI) that focus on advancing specific applications and solving current industry challenges.
The Use Case Initiatives are designed to foster collaborations between Helmholtz researchers, industry partners, and start-ups. Selected projects receive €20,000 to €50,000 in seed funding, enabling them to develop technological solutions that are easier to use, more reliable, and cost-effective.
This year, we are excited to announce the winners of the Hi-Acts Use Case Initiatives Call 2025. A total of 10 projects were chosen for their innovative approaches, addressing challenges in areas such as material characterization, radiography, dosimetry, and battery technologies.
